The choice of time scale significantly influences model parameters and assumptions. Volatility, for instance, often exhibits different properties at different frequencies. It is crucial to aggregate or disaggregate data appropriately, using techniques like temporal aggregation or tick-by-tick data reconstruction, to ensure consistency across scales.

Magnitude Scales

The magnitude of financial variables can also vary greatly, impacting numerical stability and accuracy. Techniques to handle these issues include:
