Qualifications and Experience
* AAT Level 3 qualification or equivalent (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Accounting). * Proven experience (minimum 2 years) in a finance role, preferably within a similar organization (e.g., charity, public sector, small to medium enterprise). * Demonstrable experience of processing invoices, payments, and receipts accurately and efficiently. * Experience of bank reconciliations and petty cash management. * Familiarity with accounting software packages (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage).
Skills and Abilities
* Strong numeracy and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail. * Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. * Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (including formulas and data manipulation). * Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain financial information clearly and concisely to non-finance personnel. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and resolve financial discrepancies. * Understanding of basic accounting principles and procedures.
